The merger is intended to simplify the creation of closed loops.

Aluminum rolling and recycling company Speira is buying and integrating Real Alloy's European business. Real Alloy Europe is a leading European recycler of aluminum and magnesium scrap as well as related by-products, with seven facilities and approximately 600 employees in Germany, Norway, France and the United Kingdom. The acquisition will enable Speira to use recycled metal in production and provide its customers with high-quality, low-carbon aluminum rolled products.

Einar Glomnes, CEO of Speira, says, "The integration of Real Alloy Europe into Speira will accelerate our strategy of creating closed loops from scrap to end product and back. We look forward to further investing in the combined capabilities of Speira and Real Alloy Europe to meet market demand for sustainable and circular solutions."

The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals.
