Combilift: Develop innovations together with customers

Martin McVicar, CEO and Co-founder (c) Combilift

Bar ohne Namen

Martin McVicar, CEO and Co-founder of Combilift about ALUMINIUM 2024

Exhibiting our products to the right audience in a prestigious event such as Aluminium 2024 is instrumental to our growth. Combilift material handling solutions provide substantial advantages to the aluminium industry. Our multidirectional forklifts make it safer to handle long and bulky loads of aluminium while navigating tight spaces, allowing you to increase your storage in your existing facilities.

One of our main objectives is to showcase how our solution-based material handling equipment can enhance the safety of your aluminium handling operations while also increasing efficiency and the current storage capacity of your existing facilities. Participating in Aluminium 2024 is also a great opportunity to meet potential new customers and showcase our wide range of products. Visitors can see our machines in action, participate in demos, and speak to our product specialists to find the best material handling solution for their facilities.

We also take this opportunity to meet with our existing customers to further strengthen our relationship and to listen to their feedback. We are always very keen to learn from what our customers have to say and to hear how their operations have improved since they started using Combilift. We are customer-driven and our products are custom-made to tailor to their individual needs. By listening attentively to their feedback and analysing their needs, we continue to grow and evolve. It is through close collaboration with our customers that we have been able to develop some of our latest innovations, such as the Combi-LC Blade, which was designed in collaboration with Siemens Gamesa and was launched in September last year.

Some of the major issues businesses are facing nowadays are the rising costs of energy, fuel and raw material. Additionally, companies are under pressure to make their operations as sustainable as possible.

With our multidirectional forklifts, we aim to help you optimize your material handling operations and eliminate the need for multiple machines. Multidirectional foklifts such as the C-Series can be used as a counterbalance, narrow aisle, and sideloader, becoming three forklifts in one. This approach results in fleet size reduction which leads to lower maintenance costs and a smaller carbon footprint.

We also provide our customers with a free warehouse/yard layout service, which has been shown to increase your storage capabilities by up to 50%. This ability to reduce the physical footprint of a site also translates to a reduced carbon footprint, eliminating the need for unnecessary greenfield expansion and the associated costs.

We are leaders in the market and invest 6% of our annual revenue in our R&D department, with 98% of it dedicated to the development of electric vehicle technology. We are constantly seeking new opportunities to address gaps in the material handling industry and further develop products that can close that gap.
