Bar ohne Namen

Victor Breguncci, MBA, CSO AMAG, about ALUMINIUM 2024

As the largest international trade fair in the industry, ALUMINIUM has been a must-attend event for AMAG Austria Metall AG for many years. The trade fair enables AMAG to present itself in a global environment, showcase products and innovations and maintain important business relationships and is therefore a key event for the company.

Above all, we expect ALUMINIUM 2024 to strengthen personal contact with our customers and partners. At the same time, the event offers the opportunity to gain insights into the latest developments in the industry.

The main objectives of AMAG's participation in the trade fair include maintaining the existing international customer structure and personal contact with business partners. In addition, the trade fair will be used to obtain bundled information on current trends and developments in an uncomplicated atmosphere. Another aim is to strengthen existing relationships and establish new partnerships.

AMAG's presentation at the trade fair will focus on sustainability and the reduction of the CO2 footprint. Central to this is the AMAG AL4ever product line, which includes durable and sustainably produced aluminium quality products with a particularly low CO2 intensity. This portfolio enables customers to use premium products with an improved eco-balance and therefore support their own sustainability goals.

The aluminium industry is facing challenges such as fluctuating raw material prices and global trade tensions, but also opportunities due to increased sustainability efforts, particularly in the mobility sector. Innovations in aluminium alloys and increased recycling play a key role here. With its strategic focus on “innovation” and “sustainability”, AMAG is well positioned to benefit from these developments.

The aluminium industry is facing a number of topics and challenges that are currently the subject of heated debate. These include the volatility of raw material prices and the impact of global trade tensions on supply chains and the market. Above all, these uncertainties require adaptability.

In AMAG's competitive environment, we expect further technical developments in the areas of digitalized and automated production processes, CO2 reduction technologies, the use of hydrogen in production, the integration of renewable energies and the improvement of energy management at production sites.
